History of Character: In Greek mythology, Byblis was a daughter of Miletus (son of Apollo). Her mother was Cyanee, daughter of the river-god Meander. She fell in love with Caunus (Apollo’s grandson), her brother. Despite her initial efforts to convince herself that her feelings were natural, she realized the inappropriateness of them. Unable to keep her love for Caunus a secret from him any longer, she sent him a long love letter through a servant giving examples of other incestuous relationships between the gods. Disgusted, he ran away. Believing that she could yet make him love her, she was determined to try to woo him once more. When she found out that he had fled, she tore her clothes in sadness and was driven into madness, she jumps off a cliff and is saved by hamadryads.
Way you rp (no longer then 2 paragraphs please): The tree stood there, simple and beautiful. No one would suspect that a creature lay inside, resting, sleeping. The sun brushes over the tops of the forest, waking up the creatures of nature. The trees, flowers, birds, everything that nature created, was waking now to the glorious day. Slowly the creature inside the beautiful tree stepped out, as though a mist was softly emerging from the bark. Soon the shadowy figure would solidify and then, there, standing in front of the tree was a young woman. With her hand still on the tree’s trunk, she glanced around to make sure it was safe before she left the sanctuary of her home. Off she would go for the day, enjoying all that nature created for her to enjoy.
