A quest of unknowns.

Sitting up, she brushed his hair back, and looked over his battered body. Jumping to her feet, she ran to the pond. Gathering up some moss, she soaked up the water and turned to the forest. After a few words with the creatures of the woods, she went back to Sky.

Carefully she ran the moss over his body, cooling him down and washing away the grime of the day. She gently ran the moss over his face, tracing the moon shaped scar with her fingers before she ran the moss down over his chest. Gently she ran her fingers over every single scar that was visible to her. She didn't try to count them, she didn't want to know, but she did wonder how many of these he had inflicted on himself, and how many these were from others attacking him. A smile washed over her face, wondering what the scar on his heart looked like.

As a small fawn came close, she stood. taking from it's mouth a small old turtle's shell, she smiled and said her thanks. Heading back to the water, she filled up the turtle's shell and carried the water back to Sky. She would wash him off completely, then when she was done, fill the shell back up with water for him to drink, when he finally woke up.

Pulling her outfit off of herself, she laid down next to him and held him softly. Humming again, she let herself relax with him, hoping that he will be okay, and that he would wake up soon.

Sleep washed over him like a tidal flood. He had no ability to stop it, nor did he want too. He rarely dreamed as it was, and a nightmare was the stuff of legends to him. His mind had always been solid. But he needed to sleep. His body couldn't maintain itself while it battled the ancient darkness. This was him being careless, allowing himself to think he was all powerful while maintaining a carefree attitude.

The dream world brought him home, back to the Stone Palace, where his family was at. His boys, Alec and Wraith, were in the garden fighting each other. Alec was in his demon form, Wraith in his angelic. It was hard to watch, for Wraith had been blinded by Alec and was suffering trying to keep up with his brother's skills, even if his second sight was stronger. Kat was sitting upon the wall, laughing and watching her 'brothers' play around. She was happy. And where were Lex and Oron? Where else but in their bedroom, the screams and moans flowing out onto the balcony like a cascading waterfall. And Sky? Where was Sky? Why, he was at the family cemetary, laying at the foot of the shrine to Raven. No one knew he was there. He hid his life force from everyone.

For hours and days and years this image replayed itself, over and over. Never ending, never changing. Until suddenly, without warning, he saw himself stand up and look to the sky, looking into his own eyes. The mirror image of himself looking back, looking back, looking back...

Suddenly he sat up, sweat pouring down his face. His eyes fighting to focus upon anything, yet for some reason he couldnt' see out of his right eye. He closed them both, breathing in deep, before opening them again. He looked up to the sky, amazed that it was dark and starless. But why couldn't he see out of his right eye. He looked down at his hands and gasped, following his arm up to his shoulder and chest. He frowned, realizing what he was seeing.

"So, it is that bad?" He looked down and saw Byblis, naked, laying next to him. How long had she been there? Smiling soflty as his powers returned his body to his normal, he leaned down and kissed her lips, his hand running over her naked body slowly, seductively.

With a soft whimper, she squirmed and rolled, then looked up at him as he kissed her. She moaned softly, then smiled and reached up to caress his face. "You came back. I was so worried." She pushed herself to a sitting position and held up the bowl made out of the turtle's shell. "Here, drink. You have been asleep for quite a while." She smiled, grabbing the moss, rubbing the wetness across his face and down his neck. When she saw him, she didn't see the scars, or the clouded eye. He looked the same to her, and she still saw him as beautiful.

Inhaling deeply, she tried to stifle a yawn, and maintain a smile, but it was too obvious that she was still sleepy. She had watching over him for the whole time he was asleep, just in case something went wrong. Looking to the bowl in her hand, she chuckled softly. "It might not be as cold as it was a while ago, but it will be good to get some water in you." She saw the worry in his eyes, on his face. He was probably scare that she was seeing all the scars, and his wounded eye. Her face, though tired and worried, always held a smile for him.

Smiling softly, he took the turtle shell in his free hand, his other still touching her body seductively. He drank deep while his fingers moved slowly to her waist. After downing the last drop, he placed the turtle shell down and leaned in, kissing her softly upon the lips. He knew she was tired, and it wasn't fair of him to take advantage of her, but he couldn't help it. He smiled, having his clothes appear upon his body. His connection to the darkness showed him that somehow it was starting to spread from the confinements of the ruin grounds. That was odd. Did the demon need that little power to spread out?

Appearing instantly next to the new dying area, he scanned the ground that had just been corrupted. The trees had begun to wither and shed their dry leaves, the animals that were within the confines that were caught held still as if frozen in fear, their own bodies quaking violently.

"Damn it. I shouldn't have awaken him. But I had to know." Taking a deep breath, he placed his hand upon the ground. This wasn't going to be easy, nor was it going to be painless. Filtering his own powers, he pushed his spiritual and angelic powers into the very ground itself, hoping he could stop the incroachment of the darkness.

All night he stayed to fight the demon's power, wearing out his body and mind to do so. Using the angel within him was too taxing, but it was the only way to fight the demon without going heads up with it, which he was so tempted to do after the first hour of crouching. Even as the sun slowly rose, he couldn't help but wonder if he wasn't making a mistake.

Standing there, looking around, waiting for him, she began to worry as she realized it was coming day, and he still wasn't back. Rubbing her arms gently, she thought it would be better to wait. Last time, when she tried to help, it didn't go so well. Her stomach was growling though, and she was nervous. Rubbing her arms again, she sat down on the grass and leaned against her hurting tree. She wouldn't be able to go into her tree for a while, not while it was healing. Which was a sad thought, since she liked to hide in her tree when things got scary.

As the time kept passing and there was no sign of Sky, she curled up on the grass and forced herself to stay there. No birds were talking, the wind was quiet. They weren't telling her anything, so she wouldn't go anywhere. Trusting Sky to know what he was doing, was hard to do. And she hoped she wasn't wrong in doing so. After a while, she got up. Taking the turtle shell and heading for the pond, she sat at the edge and washed the make shift bowl, and dipped her feet in the water. This wasn't much but at least it was giving her something to do while she waited.

It wasn't posible, not with his mind being in many places at once. It couldn't be helped. He was worried about Byblis and her forest. Even with the knowledge he had been seeking being given to him, his regret of going to the demon in the corrupted ruins had taken too great of a toll.

Taking a deep breath, he stood up. At least he stopped the advancement, though the diameter of the corrupted circle was now twenty percent bigger. That wasn't good, but it wasn't going to spread.

Turning from the ruins, he used his divine speed to hunt food for Byblis. He wasn't hungry, just worn out a bit mentally. Gathering the fruit he could find, he finally returned to her tree. Figuring she was close by when he arrived, he set the fruit and small vegetables he knew she liked, onto the ground in a clean spot and sat against the tree. It was strong, this tree, and even in it's pain, still didn't mind him leaning against it.

"I hope I wasn't gone too long." He looked up at the tree. "I'm sorry I've caused so much trouble. I just wanted to spy on my father. Never expected to make a wonderful friend. I hope she is alright."

Coming back a few minutes later, she held the shell carefully so as not to spill any water. Looking up, she saw him sitting there. With a smile, she carefully made her way up next to him. Kneeling down carefully, she set the water near by so they would have something to drink. Sitting back against her tree, she looked over to him, smiling a bit. "I take it... something happened. Something not very good." She tried to sound positive, upbeat and happy, but she knew he was worried, her tree told her so.

Leaning over, she rest her head on his shoulder, her hand caressing his chest over his shirt. Looking up to his face, she kissed his chin softly, then along his jaw line. "Do not worry." She whispered into his ear, as her hand slipped into his shirt and caressed his chest. "Everything will be fine." She whispered again. Reaching over to the berries and other foods he had brought, she placed a berry between her lips, then lifted herself to sit on his lap, leaning over so the berry between her lips, were pressed against his own. While he was slightly distracted by her fruited lips, her hands worked to open his shirt the rest of the way, then down to his pants.

She wanted him distracted, she wanted him busy with other things. The forest could mend itself, but she also knew that the evil was searching for him. While he was thinking, while he was aware of everything around him, the evil will come, looking for him. By this time he had solely relied upon his powers, but mother insisted I learn to wield a sword." Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes to the sky. "Father was pissed that I was a better weaponsmaster then him, and only at fifteen. He didn't want his son to appear so cocky. So when I started taunting him, he used his phaze spell," he looked at her, "it's like how you can meld into your tree, that is what he did with his weapon. I was so close that when he swung and went through, he gave me this scar. Blinded me. I fell to the ground, bleeding and in pain. He stood over me, shaking his head, telling me how weak I was for allowing myself to be concerned with one eye. I still had another, as well as my second sight. Dropping my sword was costly."

Taking a deep breath, "As much as it was unnessassary for him to do, he did have a valid point. I never mocked or taunted another apponent after that. I learned my lesson," he spoke softly.

Leaning over him, she caressed his face softly, then leaned up and kissed his scar. "What a harsh way to learn such a simple lesson." Laying back down next to him, she gently rubbed his chest and closed her eyes. "What is an assassin?" She felt ridculous for asking, but she truly didn't know some of the things from his world.

Rolling over onto her stomach, she watched his face a while, watching him look so relaxed, so pleasured. It made her smile. Inhaling deeply, she lowered her head onto her arms, closing her eyes and resting. "Sky, I ...." she thought a moment, "I am hungry." She decided to say instead.

With a small chuckle, she looked up at him. "Much food is required to keep up with your lust." She laid her head on her arms as she rested a moment, thinking that maybe a quick nap would do good, especially since her tree was still so sick.

How could he forget about her not knowing what he felt was common knowledge. He was on Earth, back in a time when not even people know of simple things. They hadn't been invented yet, he assumed.

"An assassin is someone that sneaks around and kills people for money. They get hired to do a job and then they go and fulfill it, trying hard not to get caught." he spoke softly, rolling onto his side and rubbing her lower back slowly.

"I'm sorry if my appetite for sex is so strong. I've gone so long without, as well as having a massively high stamina for physical activity. Training one's body to go for days on end in fighting does that."

He reached over and grabbed a few of the apples and peaches he had gotten earlier and held them out for her. "I just hope I don't hurt you. I know you were made to be a creature of sex and lust, but I know that I'm a unique individual. I don't even think your goddesses could keep up with me. But I'm well reserved, I think. Hope. Maybe?"

He chuckled, continuing to rub upon her lower back soft and slow.

Her face saddened at the explanatioin of what an assassin was. His world seemed so scary. She knew she shouldn't be scared of Sky, he never hurt her, or gave her reason to be afraid. Still, she would probably last all of a minute in his world. She knew she could never go with him, to his world, to his time. She wouldn't make it.

As he handed her an apple, she smiled, biting into it and savoring the taste. "No, I does not hurt, and you could never wear me out. It is just that..." She said, taking a small glance up to her tree. "Without it's energy, it is hard for me to .. well exert too much energy of my own." She looked back to him with a small smile, then took another bite of the apple. Taking the time to chew it slowly, she thought a few things over a moment before looking over to him. "I need to heal my forest, so I can be healthy again." She looks over to him, smiling softly.

Sitting up a bit, she rested on her knees, eating on the apple before looking back to him. "Trust me, Dearest Sky, once my forest is healthy, I could pleasure you all day and night over and over again, till you were so tired of me." She chuckled softly, offering him a bite.

He layed back upon the ground, placing his hands behind his head, smiling at her. This was a wonderful place. Chuckling to her for saying he couldn't wear her out, he looked back up at the tree. It looked alot better then before, but then again, he had put alot of energy into it. If only he had a connection to the earth, not just Earth, but the worlds in which he came too. Sure, he could meld his powers in with the get a general idea of the place he was at, but never could really connect.

"All day and night? Oh, I might have to take you up on that challenge then once your tree is healed. I've been afraid to push you for fear I might hurt you too much."

He closed his eyes. "I know my powers scare you, but I do have enough that I could give them to you so that you could heal your forest. I can't do that, cause I don't have a true connection to the earth. You do. If I were to transfer my energy into you, maybe you could heal it?"

Taking a deep breath, he opened his eyes and looked over to her. "I'm not just saying that so that we can have more time for sex. I do genuinly care about you and your forest. You are a very dear friend to me."

Looking over at him, she quirked a brow at his words. It was a nice gesture, but he didn't really know much about nature. "Nature heals itself. Can not rush it, can not force it. You can only support it." She smiled, reaching up to caress the trunk of her tree. Looking over to him, she smiled, reaching her hand into her tree, then pressing her other hand on his chest. "Listen." She closed her eyes and let the voices of the wind come to her. It was talking softly about the lazy happenings going on in the forest. The birds chirrped about the two lovers and how they seemed to be enjoying themselves. Byblis laughed at this. Finally the sound of her tree came through. It was telling her that it was doing very well, and with some rest, it should heal nicely. Opening her eyes, looking down to Sky, she smiled. "That is what I hear all day." She smirked, glaring up at the two chatty birds. Looking back to her tree, she brushed it's trunk softly with her hand again, then smiled to Sky. "See, he is doing well, will be healed soon. Nature always has it's own way of taking care of itself." She laid back down next to him and snuggled into him, for warmth.
